BH CORRESPONDENT, New Delhi: The Supreme Court appointed mediator panel – comprising senior advocates Sanjay Hegde and Sadhana – reached Shaheen Bagh protest site on Thursday afternoon to initiate a dialogue with protestors on the second day. “Protesting is your right but don’t cause inconvenience to others”, said the mediators.
“Your concerns have reached higher authorities. Sanjay and I don’t want to stop the protest. We are here because you wanted us to. The CAA-NRC case is before court and SC will listen to the case,” said Ramachandran.
“No one wants to hurt anyone. If you don’t come to a conclusion then we will not be able to do anything. I don’t think the problem is unsolvable. Everything has a solution,” she added.
“It’s been two months you have been protesting here. We stay together to grow not to cause inconvenience to others. What are you afraid of? If you move from here then no one will listen to you? I and many other lawyers will fight for you,” said Hegde.
“We have understood that this not a Hindu-Muslim protest. You have a right to protest but you are safe in India,” said the mediators.
