Initially there were reports that actor Anil Kapoor, too, has tested positive for the virus, but later he tweeted to clarify that he is negative. “In the interest of putting any rumours to rest, I have tested negative for COVID-19. Neetu Kapoor was last seen on the big screen alongside her husband-actor Rishi Kapoor in Besharam in 2013. The film also starred their son Ranbir Kapoor. However, in April 2020, Rishi Kapoor passed away. Jug Jugg Jeeyo marks the return of Neetu Kapoor to the big screen after seven years. When Neetu Kapoor took the flight to Chandigarh to start shooting for the film, she said that her late husband is always there with her.
Jug Jugg Jeeyo also stars Kiara Advani and Prajakta Koli and after the members tested positive, the shooting has been put on hold.
