Neetu Kapoor was last seen on the big screen alongside her husband-actor Rishi Kapoor in Besharam in 2013. The film also starred their son Ranbir Kapoor. However, in April 2020, Rishi Kapoor passed away. Jug Jugg Jeeyo marks the return of Neetu Kapoor to the big screen after seven years. When Neetu Kapoor took the flight to Chandigarh to start shooting for the film, she said that her late husband is always there with her.
