BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: Student of the Year star Varun Dhawan is trending on the news now for his feminist stand. He shared pictures of women coolies and called them the real ‘Coolie No.1’.

Though people might call this a publicity stunt as his film Coolie No.1 will release in June this year, there is no doubt that his appreciation of these hard working people was appreciated.

Though usually a role primarily helmed by males, women coolies are also coming up in numbers. The Ministry of Railways had recently tweeted some pictures of them, appreciating their effort and work. “Working for Indian Railways, these lady coolies have proved that they are second to none !! We salute them !!”

Varun retweeted that post with the simple message, “Yeh hain #coolieno1” and it went viral. It has received over 7000 likes and been retweeted over 380 times.

Incidentally Coolie No. 1, is the remake of 1995-hit film of the same name. Directed by the director of the original film David Dhawan, this movie will see Varun playing the character of Govinda while Sara Ali Khan will reprise the role of Karisma Kapoor. The shooting for the film ended last month.
