BH CORRESPONDENT, New Delhi: While preparations are in the last stage to receive US President Donald Trump at Ahmedabad airport for his two-day India visit, Trump himself seems to be in a jubiliant mood. He is also besotted with Indian films.
A day after praising Ayushmann Khurrana’s homosexual film Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhaan, he retweeted a video where his face is morphed onto the body of Baahubali, a character portrayed by Prabhas in the hit franchise. His tweet, “Look so forward to being with my great friends in INDIA!” has been retweeted more than 33,000 times.
In the video from an unverified account, Trump’s grinning face is seen fighting in the battlefields in traditional armour, courting his ladylove, riding a chariot, brandishing swords and scooping lotuses out of the water while on horseback. It also stars his wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and son Donald Trump Jr.

Towards the end, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also shown, his face morphed onto another character, where he is presenting gifts. The video ends with the message “USA and India United!”
As for the purpose of President Trump’s visit, he is expected to give a speech to a massive crowd of over 100,000 people at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad after landing there on Monday. This is a follow-up to the ‘Howdy Modi’ event organized last year in Houston, USA where PM Modi and President Trump addressed crowds.
A controversy that has leapt up regarding Trump’s Gujarat visit is a hastily constructed half-kilometer wall built on the stretch from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar. This has been done in order to hide slums, according to media reports. Post Gujarat, President Trump will proceed to Agra and then onto New Delhi, where the state leaders will get into the business side of things.
