BH CORRESPONDENT, New Delhi: At a time when the coronavirus threat has spread across 100 countries, and the authorities are tearing their heads to find any solutions to contain this deadly disease, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has downplay the coronavirus threat. In fact, much like him, a number of BJP leaders has come up with some solution or the other and has downplayed the virus scare.
On Wednesday, West Bengal BJP chief Ghosh said it only takes two hours to kill this coronavirus. He also said that people of India drink water and then use the same hands to consume prasad. “Nothing will happen, they have the blessings of the almighty,” Ghosh said.
The Midnapore MP then mentioned how one can avoid coronavirus if people dry their clothes in sunlight for two hours. “Coronavirus attacks only by staying away from nature. We, who live with nature do not have this disease. To avoid coronavirus, people should dry their clothes in sunlight for two hours, which will kill the coronavirus,” he said.
Yes, he is the same person who said that one can extract gold from cow’s milk, a statement that earned him much flak on social media.
Ghosh also remarked that more people are becoming Hindu and are leaving behind their traditions to get rid off coronavirus. Earlier, BJP leaders and their ally Hindu Mahasabha were seen suggesting that only “gaumutra” and “gobar” can defeat coronavirus. A religious organisation from Uttar Pradesh called Prayagraj Tirth Purohits performed “havan” to fight the outbreak.
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale almost scared the virus by chanting ‘Go corona, go corona’.
