BH CORRESPONDENT, Kolkata: Bengali actress and Jadavpur TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty is in home quarantine after she returned from Baazi shooting in London due to coronavirus. She has also shut down her Patuli office, and using disposable plates. But that hasn’t stopped her from continuing to raise awareness about the deadly COVID-19.
Mimi has taken the help of technology to reach the people of her constituency and raise awareness about coronavirus. Though she is in self isolation, Mimi has made sure that masks and sanitisers reach the people especially the kids of Sonarpur through the party workers.
Mimi especially recorded the video for her constituency people from her home. In the video, the MP is urging the people to wear masks and use sanitisers properly. “We are going through a rough time. We should be with each other during this tough time and abide by whatever the state government is asking us to follow,” said the actress-turned-politician.
Mimi also said that when she visited Sonarpur (before going to London) , she had shown them how to use masks and sanitisers. The Dracula Sir actress appealed the people not to go into the crowd and wash hands properly.
Meanwhile, in home quarantine, Mimi is spending time reading books and watching movies. Among the many books, there are Anthony William’s Liver Rescue and Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay Golpo Somogro.

Mimi also participated in the World Health Organisation (WHO)’s global campaign #SafeHands challenge, where she shared a video on how to wash the hands properly to safeguard oneself from COVID-19.
