AGENCIES, Los Angeles: Look out for the new Batmobile! Except that it’s a really old model. Downgrading from the tank like proportions in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and spaceships avatars in the more imaginative designs, this batmobile resembles a car.
Matt Reeves, whose upcoming directorial The Batman stars Twilight actor Robert Pattinson in the titular role, has decided to stick to the earlier version of the Batmobile in DC Comics.
He revealed the look of the Batmobile from three different angles on Twitter. With slit-like red brake lights, a humongous engine strapped onto the back of the car and a sleek body design with stylish bonnet and fenders, this version of the Batmobile is very believable. It looks like a regular muscle car with some imaginative props.

This is incidentally the first look of the film showing Pattinson donning the full Batsuit. As usual for Batman films, the atmosphere is dark, brooding and spooky.
Shooting had started in early January and is reportedly a re-thinked version of Batman films. The protagonist will be shown in a more grounded light and will starr multiple villains. This is the first installment of a trilogy.
Little Miss Sunshine actor Paul Dano will portray Batman’s enemy The Riddler and Catwoman will be played by Zoe Kravitz of Mad Max: Fury Road fame. The film is set to hit theatres next year on June 25.
