BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: A Delhi court stayed the hanging of the four Nirbhaya convicts for the third time. Naturally, the news did not go well with a lot of the Indians and with actor Rishi Kapoor too. And he took to Twitter to express his anger. He was reminded of the dialogue of the Tareekh pe tareekh from director Rajkumar Santoshi’s 1993’s superhit Bollywood film Damini after hearing that the court has stayed the execution of the accused for the third time.
The four convicts in the Nirbhaya rape and murder case was not hanged on Tuesday morning. The judge said that a last-minute mercy petition filed by Pawan Gupta — the last of the four to file the plea — is still pending with Rashtrapati Bhavan.
“Nirbhaya case. Tareekh pe tareekh, tareekh pe tareekh, tareekh pe tareekh- “Damini”. Ridiculous!,” Kapoor wrote.

Kangana Rananut sister Rangoli Chandel also got infuriated with the news. “Thank you for setting such a great example with Nirbhaya case, her mother has not slept properly for 7years 4 months while in the jail criminals must be having a laugh about it…. gang rape has become a trend, possibly because it’s so easy to get away…. well done court,” she posted on Twitter.
