BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: When Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s body was found handing at his Mumbai home on June 14, the nation was shocked. And since then, his death has opened a can of worms, with the nepotism debate becoming the talk of the town. His fans, friends and family have openly discussed how ‘it is a planned murder’ and not a ‘death by suicide’.
However, the final postmortem report of Sushant says that the cause of death has been due to hanging. The Mumbai police is still waiting for the viscera report and have written to Directorate of Forensic Science Services over the same. The final postmortem report has been signed by five doctors after detailed analysis.
According to an India Today report, there were no struggle marks or external injuries on Sushant’s body. His nails were clean. The postmortem report also says it is a clear case of suicide and no other foul play.
Meanwhile, the police have recorded statements of 23 people including close friend Rhea Chakraborty, with whom Sushant was supposed to do a film post lockdown and also supposed to tie the knot. The police have also recorded statements of his cook, business manager and Mukesh Chhabra (Sushant’s close friend and Dil Bechara director).
