BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: After offering his hotel in Juhu, Mumbai, to medical workers for lodging purposes, the big-hearted Sonu Sood has now been offering free meals to more than 45,000 people daily in the areas of Andheri, Jogeshwari, Juhu and Bandra in Mumbai.
“Right now we are all together in these tough times against the coronavirus. Some of us are blessed to have food and shelter in these tough times, but there are many who have not had meals in days. To help them, I’ve started a special food and ration drive, Shakti Annadanam, which is named after my father. I hope I am able to help as many people as possible,” he said to Mid Day.
Earlier, he had taken to Twitter to post about his contribution to the fight against coronavirus. He wrote, ““In the tough times that we have been living and to support the national heroes who have been working tirelessly day and night, I open my hotel in Juhu for all the healthcare workers. Considering the mammoth duty these heroes are doing right now, this is the least we can do for them. We are all in this together, let’s all come forward and support them.”
