BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: Kabir Singh actor Shahid Kapoor is courting controversy not for patriarchal themes portrayed in his film, but for staying fit. Yes, the actor was caught working out in a gym with his wife Mira Rajput on Sunday as captured on photograph by a Mumbai Mirror photojournalist.
Even after the Maharashtra government ordered the closure of cinema halls, gyms and swimming pools in Mumbai from Friday, the gym was specially opened for two hours for the star couple reportedly.
On Monday, the Bombay Municipal Corporation sealed the Bandra gym AntiGravity. A BMC official was quoted by the tabloid as saying that a notice was sent to both the actor and the gym’s owner Yudhishthir Jaising. He said, “It was wrong on the part of the gym to remain open, even for one patron. If gymnasiums don’t follow state directives, they will be booked under relevant sections and licenses will be revoked.”
The owner denied this and said that he was just spending time with his ‘close friend’ Shahid there and showing him how to operate certain equipment.
