BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: After Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri pledged donations to PM-CARES and chief minister relief funds, the Diwale actor has now provided 25,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits to the frontline healthcare professionals in Maharashtra to help them in their fight against COVID-19. In Maharashtra, nearly 2,337 people are coronavirus positive and 160 people have lost their lives to the deadly disease.
Rajesh Tope, Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare of Maharashtra, took to Twitter and thanked Shah Rukh for his contribution. “Many thanks Mr Shah Rukh Khan for your kind contribution of 25,000 PPE kits. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID19 & protecting our frontline medical care team @iamsrk @MeerFoundation @CMOMaharashtra,” he tweeted.
Replying to Tope, SRK said, “Thank you sir for all your help to source the kits. We are all together in this endeavour to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad to be of service. May your family & team be safe and healthy.

Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri have given their four-storey Bandra office in Mumbai to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to turn it into quarantine facility. He even equipped the office space with essentials for those in need who will be quarantined there.
