BH CORRESPONDENT, Kolkata: Seven new cases of corona positive patients have surfaced at the state-run NRS Hospital on Saturday. All these patients who were admitted at different sections have been shifted to the isolation ward of the hospital.
Hospital authorities said that two patients who had died earlier tested positive. A special team from the state health ministry is looking into the matter to find if they had died of the virus or any other ailments.
According to a senior official of NRS, six women out of the seven found positive on Saturday had been admitted to the gynaecology ward and the other one was from the male ward. All of them have been shifted to the isolation section of the hospital. Their samples were sent for testing on Friday and have come positive on Saturday.
Two people admitted to the isolation ward and who died on Friday were corona positive patients.
Hospital authorities are now preparig a list of doctors and other health staff who had come in contact with these patients. The list will be forwarded to the health department.
