BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: After condemning the attack on students in Delhi and even commenting that India’s economy is in ICU, Serendipity actor John Cusack has again taken to Twitter to express his extreme displeasure on the current scenario in Delhi. The violence in Northeast Delhi, which broke out on Monday between pro and against CAA groups has resulted in the loss of 20 lives till now.
The Hollywood actor took to Twitter to condemn the Delhi violence and said, “This is fascism.” The America’s Sweethearts actor even shared a video of an injured man. The tweet, however, is presently unavailable.
“This is fascism – while trump modi declare they themselves the state – Delhi burns. Savage crackdown widens – no achievable goal except humiliation and terror -@IndiaAboriginal: @LastWeekTonight See what happened in India,” he had tweeted.
The High Fidelity actor has retweeted a number of posts and videos of the Delhi violence too. The Hollywood star also shared a video where the Delhi Police had beaten up men and asked them to repeat the word ‘Azadi’.
Cusack had also showed support to the Jamia Millia Islamia Students in 2019. He had then tweeted a quote by well-known author Arundhati Roy and posted a message: “Stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters and students in solidarity being brutalized by Modi.”
