BH CORRESPONDENT, Kolkata: After the 18-year-old son of the bureaucrat in the West Bengal government tested positive of coronavirus on March 17 in Kolkata, who has a travel history from England, another boy with similar travel history has tested positive of novel coronavirus.
This 22-year-old Ballygunge boy, who had returned from England becomes the second corona positive patient in Kolkata.
He was in home quarantine since March 13 after he returned. However, he was brought to Beliaghata ID Hospital on Thursday evening, where his samples were collected.The test was done at ICMR-NICED and it came positive at NICED.
He had developed flu like symptom on March 16. On March 17, he went to Beliaghata ID hospital and was admitted there. On Thursday, his report came from ICMR-NICED where the test result was coronavirus positive.
His patients had gone to London too. The family members of Ballygunge youth have been put into home quarantine.
Meanwhile, two of his friends are also said to be tested positive of COVID-19. While one stays in Punjab, another lives in Chattisgarh.
