BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: As the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in India crossed the 30 mark, people are really panicking. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has also voiced his concern regarding the virus scare and has advised his fans to take preventive measures against the contagious virus.
Taking to Instagram, Salman shared a picture of himself folding hands, which is also the traditional form of greeting in India – namashkar. Along with it, he wrote that after the coronavirus ends, then only shake hands and hug others.
“Namashkaar … hamari sabhyata mein namaste aur salaam hai! Jab #coronavirus Khatam ho jaye tab Haath milao aur gale lago…. @beingstrongindia (sic),” read Salman’s post.
Incidentally, the shooting leg of Salman’s film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai scheduled in Thailand has been cancelled over coronavirus fears. According to Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the film said, “Thailand is one of those countries where Coronavirus fear looms large. Hence, the makers of the film, including lead actor and producer Salman Khan, decided not to let the unit and actors travel there. The risk is too big and they don’t want anyone to suffer. Hence, they decided to cancel the Thailand schedule. The makers are now shooting the portions instead in Mumbai.”
Rock On!! actor Arjun Rampal also sent out a similar message of protection through an Instagram post. He wrote, “Don’t leave home without it, wear ur masks, carry hand sanitiser, don’t shake hands, avoid crowded places, be responsible. Don’t catch this damn virus. Be safe and a big namaste (sic)”.
