BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: As Rahul Gandhi as put it, “This is a terrible week for Indian cinema.” After India lost its one of the greatest actors in the form of Irrfan Khan on Wednesday at the age of 53, on Thursday morning, the country woke up to the dreadful news of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passing away at the age of 67. Tributes started pouring in for the actor, who begun his journey in the world of cinema as a child actor.
Having ruled the big screen for five decades, Chintu as he was also popularly known among his industry friends, this actor will forever be remembered for his liveliness, immeasurable talent and candidness.
And now that Indian Cinema has lost two powerhouse talents on two back-to-back days, a scene from director Nikhil Advani’s film D-Day (2013) which stars Rishi and Irrfan has gone viral on social media.
While Rishi played a gangster based in Pakistan, Irrfan essayed the character of Wali Khan, an undercover intelligence officer who captures the gangster and brings him to India.
Now, the fans who cannot fathom the fact that both the legends have left us so soon. Comments like life is so unpredictable, 2020 is the worst year and 2020 is taking too much from our lives poured it.
