BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: A prayer meet was held for Bollywood legend Rishi Kapoor, who passed away recently after a two-year long battle with cancer. A picture is doing the rounds on the Internet where Rishi’s wife Neetu Singh is seen alongside their son, actor Ranbir Kapoor, sitting in front of a garlanded picture of Rishi.
Lots of flowers and a few incense sticks are placed in front of the picture. The sombre looks on mother and son are really heart-breaking. Neetu sports a white kurti whereas Ranbir wears a cream coloured kurta along with a saffron turban.
The picture which went viral had the following caption, “Prayer Meet for Dearest #RishiKapoor at his residence in Mumbai #RipRishiKapoor #RanbirKapoor #Neetukapoor #Love #sunday #manavmanglani @manav.manglani”.
Rishi’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, however couldn’t attend the prayer meet. During her father’s funeral, she was in New Delhi and could not get approval to fly down to Mumbai for it, which was attended by close friends and family like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Rima Jain and Abhishek Bachchan and Alia Bhatt.
Riddhima instead sought permission to drive to Mumbai from Delhi and got approval and finally arrived in Mumbai on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, a day after Rishi Kapoor passed away, an emotional Neetu Kapoor whose love story with Rishi is world famous posted a photograph of the Bobby actor holding a drink and smiling. She captioned it, “End of our story” followed by two red heart emojis.
The pair had acted in numerous films including the classics such as Kabhie Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Khel Khel Mein, Doosra Admi as well as recent films such as Do Dooni Chaar.
