BH CORRESPONDENT, New Delhi: A day after Shaheen Bagh protestors opened one of the road, another protest erupted in Delhi’s Jafrabad metro station as more than 500 women blocked the road below the metro line to protest against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), on Saturday night.
They have been carrying national tricolour and raising ‘Aazadi’ slogan and vowed not to end the agitation till CAA and National Registrar of Citizens (NRC) are revoked.
As protestors continued their agitation till the morning, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) blocked the entry and exit gates of Jafrabad metro station on Sunday Morning. They also informed trains would not be halting at the station.

Heavy security personnel were deployed, including women personnel, on Saturday night when they began their protest. Security has been tightened around the metro station on Sunday morning as the women continued their protests.
They had blocked road No. 66 which connects Seelampur to Maujpur and Yamuna Vihar. Another protest against the CAA is already on near the main Seelampur road and Kardampuri.
Protest at Jafrabad began even as efforts are on to vacate the Shaheen Bagh protest site. A petition was filed asking direction from authorities to clear the area as they are causing inconvenience to commuters as well as locals. To address the concern, Supreme Court appointed two mediators to settle down the issue.
