BH CORRESPONDENT, Bhubaneswar: The people of Bhadrak district of Odisha coastal area are anxious that the crew members of two Hong Kong Ships, which arrived at the Dharma Port three days ago, might be victims of the deadly coronavirus.
Bhadrak Additional District Magistrate Shyambhakt Mishra addressed their concern and assured that all the crew members had undergone screening for the virus and there was no need to panic. He also said that he had spoken to Dharma Port Company Limited Authorities (DPCL) regarding the issue.
The authorities said there is no reason to be scared as the crew members are not allowed to leave the ship since they do not have immigration passes. The ship will leave the port as soon as the shipment loading is done.
The deadly disease is spreading across the countries rapidly and the vaccination is yet to be discovered. Countries across the globe have flown their citizens home from China’s quarantined Hubei province, the epicentre of the corona outbreak since January has infected more than 74,000 people and killed over 2,100.
