AGENCIES, London: Daniel Craig allegedly has had enough of playing superspy James Bond. Or not, if one believes the reports that have emerged recently.
Though the upcoming Bond film No Time To Die has been touted as the last flick that Daniel will star in, there are talks that the 52-year-old Layer Cake actor might star in another film, taking up the tally of his Bond films to six.
Daniel has already portrayed British agent 007 in Casino Royale, Skyfall, Spectre and Quantum of Solace. The next one was supposed to have released on April 3 but has been pushed to the end of the year due to global fear over the deadly coronavirus, which has affected over 1,00,000 people globally.
A source close to the film told The Sun, “I don’t think Daniel is finished with James Bond, despite his previous claims. He was in this same position four years ago after Spectre came out, where he said publicly and loudly that he was done and then, as time passed, he just wasn’t.”
The source further added, “There is something about this part that scratches an itch and he’s not prepared to see it go to another actor yet. It’s going to come down to how No Time To Die is perceived by the public and if it can become the highest-grossing film in the series.”
