BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: In the most scintillating twist to the Bollywood drug probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has summoned Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor. They have been asked to appear in the next three days.
Deepika has been summoned on Friday while the other two actresses will be questioned on Wednesday, according to officers.
Deepika is in Goa shooting for Shakun Batra’s film. But on Tuesday, the location where she was shooting till Tuesday night in Goa had everything packed up. The film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.
On Monday, Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash was questioned by NCB after the WhatsApp chats between them were retrieved which hinted towards a “drug-related” conversation I’m October 2017.
Till now, these are the most high profile names of Bollywood to be summoned in the drug case.
In the WhatsApp chats, Deepika is allegedly asking for ‘maal’, i.e hash from a certain person ‘K’.
Soon after Deepika’s name was found in the case, #BoycottDeepikaPadukone is one of the many hashtags that has been trending on Twitter since Monday.
In the meantime, Rhea Chakraborty’s judicial custody has been extended till October 6. She was arrested on September 8 on drug charges in Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The custody of her brother, Showik Chakraborty, has also been extended. Both of them had applied for bail in the NDPS case in Bombay High Court.
Sushant’s ex-talent manager Jaya Saha was also questioned by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and she reportedly admitted to having chats over drugs with A-list actors in Bollywood. Jaya is an employee of KWAN Talent Management Agency, which manages several Bollywood top actors.
