BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: There’s a severe shortage of N95 masks and it is the frontline warriors — the doctors, nurses and other health workers — who are in more need of the masks than us. So, the government is constantly asking us to use homemade masks. In fact, the Ministry of Science and Technology has issued a manual of instructions and so did the health ministry. According to an advisory issued by health ministry, people who are not suffering from medical conditions or having any breathing difficulties can use the handmade reusable face cover.
Television actor Arjun Bijlani has recently shown his fans how to make such a mask at home. And all he needed was his printed bandana and elastic bands. The DIY homemade mask looked stylish and was easy to make. The Naagin 3 actor also urged everyone to do the same in the video. Arjun had nominated Hina Khan for the mask task and the actress then did the same and uploaded a video.
With the entire world suffering from COVID-19, people are getting helpless and restless. In this situation, there are many who are also losing their mental peace. Arjun is someone who has always supported the cause of mental happiness. Recently, he had also shared on Instagram a toll-free number through which people can call to find the right advice on mental health.
“I know due to COVID-19, there is a lot of anxiety, fear and uncertainty going on through people’s mind. So I was talking to my producer friend Rupali Singh that how important it is to maintain mental balance in this madness. Then she told me about a friend of hers who is working for this cause. I always wanted to do something for mental happiness so I shared the number on Instagram. And I also requested my friends in the industry to share the number because the more we share more people will come to know. I am sincerely requesting people to call the number. Do not hesitate. There are 450 volunteers waiting to guide you. If I have any issues with mental happiness I will call this number too,” said Arjun.
