BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Karan Johar’s aide and Dharma Productions’ executive producer and director Kshitij Ravi Prasad on Saturday. This comes on a day when three big stars – Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan are being questioned by NCB in the drug probe in relation to the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
He was being questioned by the NCB for more than 24 hours. He was taken for medical examination.
Meanwhile, on Friday, when raid was conducted at his house, marijuana and small amounts of weed were recovered at his place.
According to Times Now, actress Rakul Preet Singh, who was questioned by NCB on Friday named Kshitij and said that he had a role in the nexus and used to procue drugs regularly. Reportedly, Rakul also stated that Kshitij had even approached her to be his conduit. Reportedly, he was also procuring drugs for other Bollywood actors.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Karan denied all the drug allegations that are doing the rounds. He has issued an official statement that all the allegations are false and he does not consume any kind of drugs.
The Dharma Productions head said that he had in 2019 given his statement about the alleged use of narcotic substances at his party which took place at his residence.
KJo also mentioned in his statement that Anubhav Chopra is not an employee of Dharma Productions. Chopra was associated with the production house for a period of only two months. Karan stated that Chopra was associated in the capacity of a second assistant director between November 2011-2012.
He also said that Kshitij had joined Dharmatic Entertainment (sister concern of Dharma Productions) in November 2019 as one of the executive producers on contract basis on a project but it didn’t materialise eventually.
