ANINDITA ACHARYA, Kolkata: Actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are rumoured to be seeing each other for some time now. In fact, the two have been spotted in Mumbai together on multiple occasions. And though the actors continue to deny being in a relationship, speculations are rife that the two have been approached to do a film together. Well, given that they are a cute looking couple, if the actors do a film together, it would really be awesome.
On Tuesday, Vicky was in Kolkata for the promotions of his new horror film Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship co-starring Bhumi Pednekar. Director Bhanu Pratap Singh was also present with the young actor at Inox Quest, Kolkata.
When Bulletin Hours asked the Raazi actor about the dating rumour with Katrina, he smiled and said he would like to guard his personal life since they are open to interpretations and misinterpretations. “In this journey which I have had till now, it’s important to guard your personal life to some extent. Once you open up, there are interpretations and misinterpretations. And then there are no controls over them. And sometimes, it invites unnecessary baggage and lot of energy goes into something which does not exist at all. So, I don’t want to get into those Chinese whispers,” he said.
Vicky, who won the National Award for his performance in Uri: The Surgical Strike, also requested the people to respect his personal life.
Then, he mentioned how he loved the concept of Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship, especially the geography of the film where most of the action sequences take place. “I believe in ghosts. So, if someone tells me a story which has happened to them or to their friends, I will believe them. And whenever I am afraid I start reading the Hanuman Chalisa,” said the Manmarziyaan, who really wants to do a film based in Kolkata.
