BH CORRESPONDENT, New Delhi: Though India’s coronavirus cases went past over 79 lakh, with 45,149 new cases being reported in the past 24 hours on Monday, there seems to be good news in the COVID-19 graph. This is the lowest single-day spike reported in India in over three months.
According to the health ministry, 480 coronavirus patients have succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,19,014.
India’s total number of cases climbed to 79,09,960 and a total of 71,37,228 people have recovered from the disease so far pushing the national recovery rate to over 90 per cent, reported India Today. India’s total active coronavirus cases now stand at 6,53,717 after a decrease of 14,437 in the past 24 hours, according to the health ministry.
