BH CORRESPONDENT, New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) have announced the market launch of its BS-VI compliant Shine motorcycle. The Shine range is offered at a starting price of Rs 67,857 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Honda Shine is a commuter bike that’s powered by an efficient air-cooled four-stroke125 cc engine mated to 5-speed transmission. Honda claims the BS-VI variant will be 14 per cent more fuel efficient than the outgoing BS IV version.
The best part of technology with the Shine is that its engine comes with Honda’s ACG starter which does away with the standalone starter motor and hence resulting in a silent start now.
With the BS6 upgrade, the engine is now fuel-injected as well and comes with an auto choke system.
Among the other upgrades for Shine 125 is that it now comes with an additional 5 mm of ground clearance, a 19 mm additional wheelbase and 27 mm longer seat.
Honda is also offering a special 6-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) on Shine BS VI. Honda Shine 125 BS6 is available in two variants (Drum & Disc) is offered in 4 colours — Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic & Athletic Blue Metallic.
HMSI President, CEO and managing director, Minoru Kato said, “The next generation Shine BS-VI will unleash another quiet revolution in 125cc motorcycle segment and further strengthen our business expansion in India”.
