AGENCIES, Los Angeles: What does it feel like to be a father at the age of 56? Ask Quentin Tarantino, who just welcomed his first child with wife Daniella Pick. The news was confirmed by his rep to The Hollywood Reporter.
The director of cult films like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and The Hateful Eight, he is known for courting danger, blood, gore and violence in his movies.
But now the director will have to trade all that for his softer side, as that will be required for caring and loving for his baby son. The yet unnamed baby was born in Tel Aviv, Israel – Daniella’s native place, where they had both met during the promotion of Inglourious Basterds, a film based on World War II.
Daniella is the daughter of Israeli pop singer, songwriter and composer Svika Pick. Twenty years younger to her husband, she starred in Quentin’s last film Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood.
The couple got engaged in 2017 before tying the knot is a small ceremony in Los Angeles a year later. This is Quentin’s first marriage.
Rumours are abuzz that he might shift to Israel to spend more time with his family, which he had proclaimed in an earlier interview. Now, with the birth of his son, he has more reason to do so.
