But come March 20 and he will move onto the other side of the border and resume shooting of Commando there. Till now, Bangladesh has confirmed three cases of coronavirus and India has reported 62 positive cases. So, is the actor worried that the coronavirus might jeopardize the shooting schedule in any way? “The coronavirus has affected 100 countries till now. And all we can do is take precaution. So, we are taking all kinds of precautions while shooting,” said Dev.
In fact, the first schedule of Commando, which was earlier named Mission 16, was supposed to be shot in Thailand. Then, a major part of Commando was supposed to be shot in France. However, given the global spread of coronavirus, the schedule has changed now.
“The script of Commando is being written for the last eight months now. I wanted to do something solely for the Bangladeshi audiences. They have been watching my films for a long time. But then, my taste in cinema has also changed over time. I can no longer relate to the Rangbaaz kind of films. So, I was looking for a script which was relatable yet had the Bangladeshi flavour. When the Commando script came my way, I liked it… it had the right ingredients and we have plans to make it on a mammoth scale. The first leg of the shooting was supposed to start in Thailand, followed by Bangladesh and then France. However, given the coronavirus spread, the entire schedule has gone for a toss. Yet, we are working on the plans… let’s see if we can include some other country or not. I might have gone to Thailand … but we need to take a 100-people unit, so we cannot take the risk,” said Dev.
Commando will release on Eid al-Adha in Bangladesh.
