BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: A day after Irrfan Khan passed away, Bollywood and India were confronted with the death of another legend Rishi Kapoor. A heartthrob in his youth to a mature actor in his later roles, Rishi was a man liked by all.
Bollywood celebrities were utterly broken by this sad news. They took to Twitter to express their loss and grief. Aamir Khan called him one of the greats as well as a ‘100% a child of Cinema’, while Salman Khan wished that he rests in peace.
We have lost one of the greats today. An amazing actor, a wonderful human being, and 100% a child of Cinema.
Thank you for all the joy you brought to our lives.
Thank you for being the actor and human being that you were.

Ajay Devgn, who worked with Rishi in Raju Chacha, felt his death to be a stab in the heart as he couldn’t blows one after the other.

Akshay Kumar, who considered Rishi to be a close family friend, believes that Bollywood is in the midst of a nightmare with these two deaths occurring in such a short span of time and so suddenly.

Parineeti Chopra, who felt nervous acting with Rishi in Shudh Desi Romance, cannot believe that he has moved on. She considers him to be her most favourite co-actor.

Veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee has been completely devastated. He tweeted that he couldn’t finish writing the obituary of Irrfan, when the news of Rishi’s death reached him and this is too much to take for him.

Anushka Sharma was ‘gutted, sad and heatbroken’. and said she was holding her phone in disbelief as she truly hoped that Rishi would pull through this.
