BH CORRESPONDENT, Kolkata: The West Bengal health department has identified five hospitals in Kolkata that will admit and treat coronavirus patients or people who have symptoms of the disease.
These hospitals are MR Bangur Hospital, New Super Specialty Buildings of M. R Bangur Hospital, New Town campus of Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, annex buildings of Salt Lake AMRI Hospital and Beliaghata ID Hospital.
Coronavirus positive patients having mid-level to severe level symptoms and patients having severe acute respiratory illness but not infected with COVID-19 will be treated at M.R Bangur Hospital and the New Super Specialty Buildings of the hospital.
Patients having symptoms of COVID-19 and patients infected with coronavirus but who fall in the low risk category will be treated at the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute’s new campus at New Town. But confirmed coronavirus patients at high risk will be treated at the Beliaghata ID Hospital and the Annex Building of Salt Lake AMRI Hospital.
On Saturday, the health department said that 49 persons in the state are corona positive. And three persons have so far died from the disease. Twelve have been cured and discharged from hospital.
