BH CORRESPONDENT, Kolkata: Every year, every club thinks of going big during the Durga Puja. This time, the picture, however, is largely different. However, many are still hoping that before Maa Durga arrives, we will be able to win our fight against COVID-19. Baghajatin Tarun Sangha had big plans like every other club in Kolkata this Durga Puja, too. However, given the present circumstances, they have decided to cut on their puja budget and rather work for the people who are struggling during this crisis.
Already, the members of the club have distributed masks and sanitizers among the people. Bengali actress Priyanka Sarkar, who is a close associate of this club, appreciated the efforts of the members and their commitment towards the society.
“They are also distributing ration among the needy. Alongside, the members are making masks and sanitizers and distributing them. Also, the decision to cut down on the puja budget is indeed a big call. And this time, they were planning some really huge but nothing can be greater than supporting the cause of humanity,” said Priyanka.
