BH CORRESPONDENT, Hyderabad: India waits with bated breath for Baahubali director SS Rajamouli’s next blockbuster venture – the multilingual film which is named Roudram Ranam Rudhiram in Telugu, Raththam Ranam Rowthiram in Tamil, and Rise Roar Revolt.
Incidentally, this film will star Dear Zindagi star Alia Bhatt as well as Singham actor Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles. This will be Alia’s debut in the south industry. Besides them, the cast has heavyweights from the South film industry like Jr NTR and Ram Charan playing lead roles.
“I need an actress who can stand her ground between Tarak (NTR Jr) and Charan (Ramcharan Teja) both of whom are extremely talented actors. She can be innocent, vulnerable yet be extremely resilient. That is the reason I went for her,” said Rajamouli as per reports by Hindustan Times, explaining his rationale behind choosing Alia. He further said, ““In a large-scaled film it is very important that there is perfect balance between art and commerce. One cannot be sacrificed for the sake of the other. Yes, it is also very good that their star status helps the pan India appeal.”
Unfortunately, the shooting of the film is stalled due to the ongoing crisis. “The shoot with Alia which was supposed to happen this month got cancelled due to the pandemic. We need to re-work the dates and schedules,” he said, reports the publication.
