BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: We all know Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most active users of social media among the Bollywood actors and given the nationwide lockdown, these days he is seen interacting with his fans online a lot more. So, on Sunday, one of his fans asked him a question which got a funny response from the legendary actor.
The fan asked him if he would ever like to become the Prime Minister of the country. “Sir, aap kabhi desh ka PM banna chahte hain?” asked the fan on Instagram. To this Amitabh wrote, “Arre yaar, subah subah shubh shubh bolo (Please say auspicious things in the morning).”
Amitabh did have short stint in politics. The actor contested on the Congress ticket in Lok Sabha elections from Allahabad (Prayagraj) in 1984 and also won by a huge margin. However, he resigned after three years.
Big B has also donated Rs 1.80 crore for the Telugu cinema workers. Chiranjeevi, who acted with Amitabh in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, expressed his gratitude on Twitter. Bachchan has donated 12000 Corona Relief Coupons of Rs 1500 for the workers.

On Friday, the Piku actor completed 12 years of his blog writing too. He also shared a photograph from the premiere of his iconic film Sholay (1975), which has his wife Jaya Bachchan, his parents Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan and of course the man himself. The post went viral.
Big B-starrer short film Family, which talks about why it is important to stay at home in the times of COVID-19 and also stars Rajinikanth, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Sonali Kulkarni and Shiv Raj Kumar, went viral. The funds raised from the film will be used to support daily wage workers of the Indian film industry who are struggling the most during the lockdown.
After the lockdown is lifted, Amitabh will be seen in a number of films be it Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo, Nagraj Manjule’s Jhund, Rumi Jaffery’s Chehre and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.
