BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: Alia Bhatt, whose upcoming film with her beau Ranbir Kapoor is Ayan Mukherji directorial Brahmastra opened up in an interview to Rajeev Masand about working with her father and director Mahesh Bhatt for Sadak 2.
“The experience was so collaborating…that’s the way my father works…the script is just a blueprint. A lot of my input and suggestions were actually taken into the script. I need to give credit to him, he kept on pushing ‘you should write. You can be a writer, you can be a director’.”
Though she did not take it seriously at first, but after sharing her essays with other people who got impressed, she is inspired to do discover her literary side. To augment her writing aspect, she has enrolled in an online creative writing course besides reading a lot.
As for her equation with her father, Alia says that she is constantly after him so that he takes proper precautions. She said, “He is 70 plus. I am constantly nervous and thinking…. That’s why I am always screaming ‘don’t touch your face, don’t do this’.”
The actor was recently spotted with Ranbir and his pet dog Lionel. They were in gym clothes. This set off rumours that the couple might have moved in together.
Incidentally, Karan Johar, who had given Alia her big break with Student of the Year revealed to the same interviewer that Alia’s talent has been nurtured by Highway director Imtiaz Ali.
