BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: The film industry has really stepped up the fight against coronavirus through their donations to PM-CARES Fund and Chief Ministers’ relief funds. South superstars have also played their role. A lot of the funding also goes to help provide economic sustenance of the daily wage workers of the film industry who are out of work as shoots have been cancelled owing to the lockdown.
Joining the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgn, Ekta Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, 2 States actor Arjun Kapoor has pledged to donate to several relief funds including PM-CARES fund, Give India, The Wishing Factory and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
“India is in the midst of a crisis and as responsible citizens we need to do our bit for our fellow brothers and sisters in need. I’m trying my best to help as many people possibly by humbly contributing to: PM-CARES fund, Give India, The Wishing Factory, Federation of Western India Cine Employees,” posted Arjun on Instagram.
