BH CORRESPONDENT, Mumbai: Even Bollywood actor Aamir Khan seems to be ruffled by the deadly coronavirus that has spread from Wuhan in China. Aamir, who has a huge fan base in China, has reached out to his followers there through a video on Weibo, a social media platform similar to Twitter. He is “extremely concerned” about the people’s well-being in such times of crisis.
The recent deadly virus that has brought China to its knees and is raising alarms across the world is coronavirus or COVID-19. As per Chinese health officials, the death count has hit 2,345 as 109 more deaths were reported while confirmed infection cases have risen to 76,288 till Saturday.
“I have been in touch with a few of my friends and I have been following this tragedy with a lot of pain in my heart. My heartfelt condolences to those who have lost somebody close,” said Aamir.
He urged them to take precautions and care and follow the instructions of the authorities so that the virus can be contained. He said, “I know that these are very difficult times. I am sure the administration is doing all that they can to bring back things to control and back to normal and the best that we can do at this time is to take care, take precautions, and follow the instructions of the administration and help them to help us.”
Aamir next film to hit the screens is Laal Singh Chaddha. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is loosely based on the American drama Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.
