BH CORRESPONDENT, Kolkata: A 59-year-old from Dum Dum tested positive for novel coronavirus infection on Saturday night. A resident of Dum Dum, he is admitted at Salt Lake AMRI. With this, the number of coronavirus positive cases rose to four to West Bengal.
All the other three previous coronavirus positive patients have a foreign travel history. However, the 59-year-old man from Dum Dum has no such travel history. He is in ventilation and is said to be critical.
On Friday night, a girl from Habra tested positive for coronavirus infection and was admitted at the Beliaghata ID Hospital. The girl’s confirmatory report was sent to the infectious disease hospital in Beliaghata by the Pune-based NICED lab on Friday night. The 21-year-old student from Habra in North 24 Parganas was admitted to the hospital on March 18 after she had developed flu-like symptom soon after she returned from Scotland.
