BH CORRESPONDENT, New Delhi: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on Sunday declared that all the 406 Indians who were flown back to India from Wuhan in China and are housed in an ITBP quarantine center in Delhi will be released in a phased manner beginning Monday as they have tested negative in their final blood test for coronavirus.
“They will be released phase by phase and the releasing process will start from Monday after all of them were tested coronavirus negative,” said an ITBP official on Sunday.
A team of doctors had collected their blood samples on Friday to conduct the final test for coronavirus. All of them were tested negative for coronavirus in the blood test. After the results came, it has been decided that they will be discharged from the quarantine facility from Monday following the advisory and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,” said the ITBP official.
Meanwhile, according to CNN, the number of cases of the novel coronavirus has risen to over 69,000 worldwide.
